Appeal against the Director General of Manpower's decision dated 27.5.2025 wherein the Respondent’s claim for unpaid salaries was allowed. The Appellant challenged the decision on the grounds that that – (i) the Respondent was not a employee but rather a consultant; and (ii) the quantum. there was a contract of service between the Appellant and the Respondent dated 1.3.2016. The Appellant’s argument that the letter is merely a facade for his employment as a consultant is strange and illogical. The quantum was calculated based on the Appellant's own ledger. Appeal dismissed.
