This was an application in enclosure 143 by the Respondent Husband (RH) for an order to vary Paragraph (i) of the consent order dated 23.9.2019. Paragraph (i) of the Consent Order dated 23.9.2019 requires the RH to pay monthly maintenance of RM5,000 to the Petitioner Wife (PW). The RH is seeking to reduce the monthly spousal maintenance from RM5000 down to RM500 per month to take effect retrospectively from January 2023. On 4.9.2024 after hearing arguments by counsel for both parties, I dismissed the application and I now give the reasons for my decision.
