This case concerns an application to set aside an arbitral award under on the ground that the award was made in breach of the rules of natural justice and was therefore contrary to the public policy of Malaysia. The plaintiff contended that the Final Award contains decisions on matters beyond the scope of the submission to arbitration. The High Court held that the complaints were in substance challenges to the merits of the arbitral findings and did not establish any breach of natural justice or excess of jurisdiction. The court therefore dismissed the application to set aside the award.
